The Engineering team at Spur Electron offers essential component engineering support, ranging from sourcing obsolete components, through high reliability procurement and screening, to full scale centralised procurement programme management.

The department has the ability and means to design, assemble, screen, test and deliver the full range of EEE components, and our laboratory can provide component analysis at any point from wafer fabrication to components in active field use.

    Providing full line set-up & qualification including:

    Micro-sectional analysis
    Report creation

    Final Presentation and support during review by authorising authority

  • Component Obsolescence Management
    Either by recommending available alternatives, locating redundant stock or by low volume assembly and test.
  • World Wide Component Procurement
    Procurement on any scale, on all part types, in any quantity.
  • Screening and Up-Screening
    (within maunfacturer’s tolerances) To improve user confidence.
  • Re-Life
    After market screening and re-test required to re-validate old stock parts.
  • Specifications
    Compiling component procurement specifications in ESCC,MIL, or customer format.
  • Off Site Services
    Pre-Cap, Final Source Inspection, Buy-Off and Data Review.
